Aim and mission
To represent the Albanian student community interests and needs in front of HEI and wider and improving student community position in HEA.
Objectives
- To increase and intensify student participation in the decision making process of the HEI
- To improve and strength student representation capacities
- To improve student position inside HEA and society in general
- To promote and run trainings in fields with interests for students
- To make possible the connection of the curricula (academic process product) with laborer market requests
- To promote and wide the services offered from National Student Card
- To improve student academic preparation
- To promote and intensify student mobility inside the country and outside it
- To improve student cultural and entertainment life
Departments and priorities
There are six departments: Professional Department, Student Concerns Department, Activities Department, Student Housing Department, Public and International Department, Information Department.
Each department implements and proposes policies and annual strategy to the Chair College.
Professional Department has as the main priority student community connection with labor market. It also deals with student ability improvement in concrete issues.
The tools used from this department are trainings, workshops and information spreading.
Student Concerns Department has under priority the evaluation and resolving of the Albanian student community problems and concerns. It organize surveys with the focus in student needs and problems, supports faculty Student Government in running annual student needs and problems survey, organize campaign regarding awareness, lobbing with HEI in order to consider student concerns and propose legal mechanisms that should respond to student problems and needs.
Activities Department
It has under priority the projecting and managing of several activities like: Parties, traveling, summer camps, protests etc.
Student Housing Department
It has under priorities the evaluation of student housing conditions, negotiating with institutions that manage student dorms, proposals for improvements of student dorms conditions and services, promoting and protecting student’s rights and spreading information for other housing opportunities for the student community.
Public and International Department
It has under priorities the contact creations and preservation with institutions, groups and individuals in the country and outside it. Communication with actors that has directs impact in the HEA and especially to student community. It has the duty also to present the ASG role, position and policies to general student population and also to several international and national institutions that deal with Albanian High Education.
Information Department
It has under priority the information spreading especially to student community. It takes care to information that is produces from the other departments from ASG Chair College, Student Government in all levels and HEI. It takes care also to the website and other communication tools and also student database.
