History and activities of USUT

Students in Tuzla University are connected by profession, interest and by small organizations at each faculty. The strongest student’s organization is Student Union of University in Tuzla. There are 16 members and it is the roof of student’s organizations on this University. These organizations have highest priority in youth organization. That means, if students need some information, books, or some projects they can get it in their student’s organisations. It is not coincidence that number of students is higher from day to day. That present complete situation in our state and especially on Tuzla University.

Well-organized University is the first condition for quality educational system. But well organized University also need well-organized students. Organizing of student’s trough student’s organizations makes possible for students to get easier information, knowledge and books from whole areas of life and work, and also following of social and law status of students. Only with good organization students can get reformation of educational system.

Student Union of University in Tuzla with its work trying to afirmate all positive, culture, science, intellectual, ethnic and other civilised values of Bosnian society. They are fighting for rights of all students in educational, science- investigational and social process at all. One of the priorities is fighting for complete freedom in science and educational process and also creating of educational program of faculty. Organizing of students is very important for process of democratisation of University.

Activities which we planned for next period are public tribunes Where University in Tuzla goes, Reform of education and Bologna declaration, Integrated University, Role of students and professors in ECTS, Quality of high educational institutions, making of social cards for students, sector for affirmation students works and some other activities.

The biggest problem is that there is no law of education. But from University of Tuzla, as a leader of reformation of education in BiH we expect to recognize need for good students organizing and to support our work.
